The winery makes both "sweet" and "dry" wines like Seyval Blanc, Villard Blanc and Chancellor Noir. It will also make some fruit wines from apples, cherries and other fruits when available. The winery makes a "Lone Jack Red" an apple-grape blend. It also makes the old time Concord Wine many found delightful down through the years. The winery has a public tasting room, a gift shop with the wines, jellies, wine vinegars and other products made from the vineyards 8,500 vines. One can relax and view the vineyard from the outside deck while enjoying wine and cheese. Tours of the winery area are available, if made in advance. Holy-Field wines recently won two first place awards and five second place honors in the Kansas commercial Wine Making Competition. PIRTLE'S WESTON VINEYARDS WINERY 266

From French hybrid grapes, Pirtles produce a delightful variety of fine wines, and is one of a few vintners to produce the delicious ancient Mead wine made from a honey recipe.
