More than 350 concerts and recitals yearly. The Conservatory is part of the University of Missouri system which trains students in music and dance. In addition to faculty and student recitals, there are performances by orchestras, jazz bands, choral groups and dance. The Conservatory also sponsors the "Signature Series". The concerts are performed at a variety of locations.

Performances by professional chamber musicians of national and international renown. Highlights of the past 27 seasons include the Julliard String Quartet, the Beaux Arts Trio, The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra with Pinchas Zukerman, the English Concert with Trevor Pinnock, the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, Chanticleer, Anonymous 4, and soloists Mieczyslaw Horszowski, Richard Goode, and Dawn Upshaw. FCM presents a wide variety of ensembles and artists including string quartets, pianists, vocal music, early music, chamber orchestras and holiday concerts. The season consists of 17-20 events in all, including the International Chamber Music Series, Master Pianists Series, Early Music Series and the String Quartet Festival.

During the course of its 42-week season the region's largest professional orchestra performs 55 subscription concerts in the Lyric Theatre, 11th and Central, and the Music Hall, 13th and Central, offered in 12 regular series on three different nights of the week. The Symphony also performs at various locations throughout the metro area.

The Kansas City Symphony Chorus is a premiere 110-voice volunteer vocal ensemble. Selected by audition, members come from a variety of backgrounds — from teachers to attorneys. Conducted by Arnold Epley. the Chorus performs annually with The Kansas City Symphony as well as their own concert schedule.

A community orchestra composed of 65 professional, and amateur musicians that perform 4 to 6 concerts a year. Concert locations will vary. The Northland Symphony Orchestra was established in 1968, making it the oldest community orchestra in the metropolitan area. You can have your name put on a mailing list to receive announcements to where and when concerts will be performed.

Providence Medical Center Amphitheater, also known as SANDSTONE AMPHITHEATRE, A state-of-the-art 18,000 seat amphitheatre (7000 reserve and 11,000 lawn seating) outdoor concert facility. Sandstone features National and International live entertainment ranging from adult contemporary to rock-in-roll to family entertainment to comedy. Summerfest is an eleven-piece classical chamber music ensemble that presents a festival of concerts during the month of July at Historic St. Mary's Episcopal Church in downtown Kansas City, Missouri, and at other venues throughout the year as announced. Hailed by The Kansas City Stars "one of the area's two most distinguished indigenous musical organizations." Summerfest brings audiences innovative programs of chamber music from all periods. Following every performance is a reception where musicians and audience may meet and enjoy refreshments.
